Family in Town

After Siri's birthday Aunt Sue stayed in town for the afternoon and Julie and Anna were here for another week. Julie and Anna spent the week with Siri, hanging at the house, going to the playground, and they even spent a day helping Erick and Neal build a house.

Siri loves to hide in this little cubby hole we have in our kitchen. She looks out with an expression that surely says "am I going to get caught?"

Bath Time with Grandma Julie

Kate works at an amazing Cheese Shop in downtown. On friday night Anna, Julie, Siri and I went and enjoyed the cheeses and a bottle of Vino from Vino. Siri had her very own cheese plate. It was terriffic.

Siri loves to climb at the playground.

She also loves climbing on her Dad's head

She has so many fun new toys to play with. This one is a Dora the Explorer bike that makes tons of noise- thanks Kelly!

First Birthday

There were many people here celebrating. She got lots of wonderful presents and some great books and clothes. She also got to wear her cute Grand Canyon Ranger outfit, complete with a stuffed Condor. Anna Simonsen made a chocolate cake that Siri devoured. It was a wonderful afternoon.

Mom gets Sworn-in

Judge Eitzen swore Natalie and I into the legal profession. All of my Attorneys that I work with and our family and friends were there. Later, Attny Jamie Wolff hosted a reception for all of us at Niko's, an amazing Greek restaurant. It was a very special occasion and it was great to have the little one there celebrating with us.

Halloween

Siri was a little Tiger. We drove to a few friends houses. She got great candy. Crissy and Kevin gave out Whole Candybars! Thats' where we're going next year! We ended the night at Natalies house where Siri was entranced by the big-screen t.v.

Labor Day Weekend in Idaho

We camped in our van Betty right next to the river- all of our friends camped right on the bank. It was cold at night and hot during the day. The river was icy cold. Siri couldn't get enough of the water. From the minute she got up she wanted to walk down to the river and walk right in If we took her out of the icy water she would literally throw a fit. She was naked all day, and we would only put cloathes on her when it got cold at night We all had a blast

Siri and Riley reading

This is Siri's babysitters son Riley. He is a GREAT kid and is teaching Siri all sorts of fun things like reading. She has advanced a ton since spending time with him. She wants to do everything that he does- including walking. She's going to be able to walk on her own very soon I'm sure.

Dinner Party in Minnesota

Erick, Siri and I took a red eye flight from Seattle to Minnesota on Thursday July 26th. I had just finished the Bar that afternoon, and Erick and Siri met me in Seattle where we celebrated with friends. Erick's sister Anna's wedding was on Saturday, so we had a great time celebrating that and hanging out with family. The weekend after the wedding we spent time with my family in Minnesota and had friends over. Unfortunately, my camera was stolen when I was at the Mall of America (grrrrr) so all of my pictures are lost. But here are a few pictures from the dinner party at Grandma Dorothy's house (courtesy of the Abbas'). Siri is crawling everywhere - and walking with help. Wally Abbas and Siriana

A new Dad Sam gives Siri a bottle

Our friends Crissy and Kevin had us over last night for a barbecue. It was a nice break from studying and working. Sam and his wife Karen are expecting their first child next winter. He's getting some practice feeding. I think he may need it. I had to show him how to cradle the babe- although she surprisingly didn't mind eating this way either, so what the heck?

Hangin out this summer with Annie

Siri is spending her summer days with our neighbor Annie. She gets to cruise around the house in her walker and man does she go.

Camping in Hell's Canyon Oregon

After driving to the top of the mountain, we stopped the car and made a yummy lunch of steak, asparagus and some fresh morels that Erick picked in the area.
We were driving down this tiny road and saw this . . . Siri's first UFO site. How exciting

Our kick butt campsite. It was raining but Erick still got an awesome fire going. We were just a few feet from the river and surrounded by mountains. Artimum ran himself ragged. Siri loved watching the sparks from the fire.

See Grandma's: We are keeping Siri warm and she has a hat on!

Laughing with Grandma Dorothy

Mom's Law School Graduation

Mom's Cousin Tom Gadwa surprised her and flew in from Texas. It was great to have him here for the weekend. Grandma Julie also spent the weekend, as did Grandma Dorothy and her friend Kris.

'A' for Awesome

Siri loves to play with the building blocks that Auntie Katrina made for her for Christmas.

Siri loves bathtime with Grandma Julie

The Flipper

This is the house that River City Restoration- ie Erick, Mike and Neal- are working on. They completely changed the front and have awesome plans for it.

Sunday Morning

Erick and Siri like to read the paper in the morning. But apparently they don't like having their picture taken!
