Siri and Mom Celebrate the Last Day of School!
Mom's last day of school was on Friday. I went out to dinner at Europa with some of my friends from Florence and Judge Eitzen. We had a wonderful time reminiscing about Europe. The next morning Siri and I joined my friend Natalie for a celebratory Margarita at Azteca. Luckily I don't have any finals. Instead I had papers due, and I only have one 10 page paper left that will be a piece of cake. I have so much free time on my hands that I hardly know what to do with myself. Siri helped me work on the gardens in the backyard yesterday. We hope to get all of the gardens weeded and plant some natural grasses in the back garden- which will inevitably mean digging up the tulips, but I think it will be the prettiest garden when it's finished. Erick and Neal worked on repairing our front steps yesterday. The have started crumbling to bits after putting salt on them this winter. The new brick pavers look great. We can hardly wait for our family to arrive for graduation.

Easter Sunday
We went to church at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral up on the hill. It was a beautiful service with one of the longest processionals I have ever seen. The Bishop for Eastern WA was at the service and gave the greeting. Siri did great during the service and spent a lot of time looking around and staring at the people in the pew behind us. I have a sneaking suspicion that they were making funny faces at her during the service. We saw a few people at the service that we knew from school and our neighborhood. After service we stayed for coffee and cake, which they served on their fine china. I just love old Episcopal churches. Siri wore a dress that Natalie and Mike got her when I was still pregnant and we thought we were having a boy. Grandma Dorothy was convinced that it was a girl, so Natalie bought a girls dress despite the ultrasound results, and whatdayaknow We had a Girl.
Erick made an awesome Easter Dinner at our house. He grilled up some barbecue chicken, and we had shrimp, mashed potato's, and some amazing cheese courtesy of Neal's girlfriend Kate. We ended the night by playing a game of Oh Hell, and I kicked every one's butt. It was Natalie's birthday so we also had a homemade Coconut cake that was delicious.
Natalie and Siri
It was about 70 degrees on Saturday. Siri and I took a walk in her new stroller to 'The Shop' and met Natalie and Mike for coffee. The Shop is an awesome coffee house just a few blocks from our house. In the summer they have outside seating and they play movies at night on the side of the building that you can see behind Natalie.
Eating from a Silver Spoon
We fed Siri her first People food this Saturday. It was fresh Avocado, something that was recommended by the 'Granola' baby websites as a great first food for babies. She used her Tiffany's Silver Spoon that she got from our friend Jenny Monn.
...but I'm not sure how much she liked Avocado... She kept making these funny faces. I am not sure if it was the type of food or just the fact that it was food and she's never had it before. She only ate a couple of tablespoons but it was a fun time nonetheless.

Siri keeps getting bigger
We took this picture on Sunday night just before Erick and I left to have dinner with the attorneys at the law firm that I worked at this summer. The attorneys and their partners hosted an amazing dinner at Niko's. Niko's is a great Greek restaurant in downtown. We feasted on pita bread, spreads, salads with feta cheese, and lamb, beef, and salmon. To top it off there was wine and baklava for dessert. Erick enjoyed meeting my attorneys and we hope to decide soon if I will work there after graduation.
Saturday was Heidelburg, which is basically the Law School Prom. It was very fun. All of the teams were announced and there were photos of the teams on the big screens that surrounded the room. The picture of the National Trial Team had all of the members, our coaches, and Siri! It was great. During dinner and before the awards ceremony there were pictures of the Mission: Possible trip that Erick and Neal went on. One of the pictures that they displayed was of Erick on the top of the school house roof. It was funny because he's a not a law student but everyone knows him and loves him. Here are a few pics of Erick and Neal in Honduras.
